174.8 this morning – YEAH!!! It’s the second time I’ve seen the 174s in the last couple days, but things fluctuate from day to day, so it’ll probably be a little longer before I’m firmly established under 175. And while this time a year, I usually wear dresses, so it’s hard to tell if they fit any differently, but I’m pretty sure I’m down a cup size. That wasn’t exactly the part I was aiming for, but as long as the rest follows, I won’t complain too much.
The weight is not nearly coming off as fast as I had hoped, but I have not been following all parts of the plan. I’ve only walked a total of 3 times (in over 4 weeks instead of the 5 to 6 times per week I should be). I still do my weekly Pilates and Yoga like I’ve been doing since October 2008, and while that’s good exercise, it’s not what this plan is asking for – I should be doing the walking IN ADDITION to that. And I’ve cheated a few times – I wasn’t anywhere near the plan during my 3 days in San Diego in week 2, and there was a neighborhood party a couple weekends ago – and my own private one last weekend. That means wine, which is not on the plan, either. And the next weekend is getting close :-)
The eating itself is easy, now that I got the hang of it. There is all kinds of food to pick from, and the only thing I really miss is the whipping creme in my morning coffee. And maybe cheese occasionally. And especially on weekends, having to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours sometimes is a pain, depending on what I’m doing or about to do – but then, there are so many worse things in life than having to eat!!!
Overall, I’m pleased – I have not been below 180 in well over a year – and my next milestone is breaking into the 160s… and after that, there are just 20 lbs to go. And maybe then, I’ll post some pictures….
