This post has been staring at me since Sunday, but I couldn’t write anything. It’s still so very sad and unbelievable.

It was Christmas Day 2000, after the present thing, and Eric tells me he had gotten paged regarding a problem at work (they had pagers back then….) and would have to go in and check things out. But he promised to be back in time for his dad’s arrival for Christmas dinner later that day.

This morning, I weighed in at 169.0, and yesterday, my size 14 shorts went up and down while zipped!!! So overall, I’m down 14 lbs. Not quite the ‘up to 30′ the plan promises, but I’m happy with my results. And I’m not done yet, either. I’ll stick to the plan for another two weeks until I go to Germany – there, I’ll of course have to eat all the German goodies I don’t get around here, but I hope I won’t do too great a damage in the 2 short weeks I’m over there, and when I get back, I’ll get back on the plan.

My goal still is to get to around 145 – or comfortably fit into the size 30 Levis shorts that still have the tag on – and a size 10 jeans skirt I bought in 2002 that I have never been able to wear.

174.8 this morning – YEAH!!! It’s the second time I’ve seen the 174s in the last couple days, but things fluctuate from day to day, so it’ll probably be a little longer before I’m firmly established under 175. And while this time a year, I usually wear dresses, so it’s hard to tell if they fit any differently, but I’m pretty sure I’m down a cup size. That wasn’t exactly the part I was aiming for, but as long as the rest follows, I won’t complain too much.

I won’t have time to write tomorrow, we’re going on a trip. But that’s a different story. And I’m referring to my first 6 Days on the body-makeover plan since THIS POST.

So far, so great. I am down 6 pounds so fat. That means I’m back into the 170s – and at 177.6 – lower in them than I’ve seen in almost 2 years. I’ll take it. The eating isn’t hard. Hunger certainly isn’t a topic on this plan, since you eat every 2.5 to 3 hours. And even if I get hungryish, it’s only for a little while before the next ‘feeding’.

I’ll be going on a 3-day trip to San Diego tomorrow. Eric is going on business, and his company has booked him into a fabulous hotel, so I just had to go along. The (diet) plan is to eat accordingly as best as possible, but not worry about it and enjoy my mini-vacation. I’m even going to have some adult beverages to toast the beach (etc., etc.).

I’ve been whining about my weight most my life. Looking back from where I am now, for no good reason. Most my younger years, I was at a good weight – not perfect, but I so wished I could be back there NOW.

In 1998, I tried Atkins. When I started out, I did not think this would ever work, but it did. Within 3 months, I dropped over 30 lbs, and it was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. I ended up weighing around 130 lbs, which for my 5’9″ is pretty darn slender. I actually bought a pair of size 4 shorts (K-Mart had a sale – and they were pretty tight, and I only wore them once or twice, but by gosh, they zipped and it didn’t require pliers!!)
