It’s Saturday, 3:30 PM, and I’m sitting here, clicking around aimlessly. Eric is upstairs, fighting wars or something, and Phillip is at work. The weather is ugly – only 62° – and gray and cloudy. Definitely too cold to be outside and enjoy it. We’ve even decided to cook chili for dinner – it feels that wintery.

Other than that, we had company for most of March. Eric’s Mom and Dad from Indiana and an aunt and uncle from Michigan came to visit and escape the Winter. They were here almost 4 weeks, and it was quite fun. I enjoyed having dinner cooked when I got home from work and to have people around to talk to. The time just flew by. They are all invited back for more of the same next year, but we haven’t heard how they feel about putting up with us again. But just wait – give them a few more cold and snowy months between coming September and February…….

This happened on Tuesday, March 18th, 2008 – As I was leaving work, I decided to put my roof up – I’d driven without it on in the morning, but it had cooled down during the day and it looked like rain. -Smart decision. I was on my way home, when the first drops fell, and my window got really smudgy. I know it’s been a while since my car got washed, but I didn’t think it was THAT dirty, but still, I had to run my windshield washers repeatedly.

Eric got home a good hour after me, and told me it was raining mud outside. I was going to check out what the heck he was talking about, but I forgot. But later, this event was all over the news – it actually had been raining mud over San Antonio. Now isn’t that interesting???

Apparently, tonight the chances are good that San Antonio will see SNOW!! I hate snow, I moved a thousand miles to get away from it, it only snows here every other decade or so -heck, natives are still talking about the snow in the 80s at some point – and here it is, only my second winter, and it’s supposed to happen. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

What a way to start the week – yikes!! I cut my walk way short – if 3 minutes can even be called ‘a walk’ – but it’s just cold and ugly and by missing days like that here, it won’t be that many. Eric starts night shift today. Going forward, he’ll be on a 2-week-rotation – 2 weeks on nights, 2 on days. That way I’ll have time to finish the work on the new look of this page – it’s a bit colorful at the moment – but that’s because it’s not done yet. I’m trying to decide on a different color scheme – that mustard thing isn’t doing it for me – and mustard/blue/teal clearly isn’t it, either. And I’ll have time to report on last weekend – it was a good one!
